(Rallying Patriots) – Despite the fact that RINOs in Congress are desperately trying to rally their colleagues to take the GOP away from Trump and his supporters and return to the establishment status quo, the Republican voter base is proving time and time again that they’re sticking by Trump and it’d be unwise for Republicans to move in the opposite direction.
RINO swamp creatures Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), Mitt Romney (R-UT), Liz Cheney (R-WY) and company seem to think they call the shots and that the GOP belongs to them but a new poll shows that nearly three-quarters of Republican voters believe the GOP should be “more like former President Trump.”
Meanwhile, Democrats are relishing in the division and lack of unity among GOP Congress members. Fortunately, there has been massive backlash against House Reps and Senators alike who voted to impeach or convict President Trump.
Despite what the RINO GOP members want, in the end it will be the voters who have the final say.
These GOP members of Congress can continue to debate the future direction of the party but voters see their efforts for exactly what they really are. They’re attempting to walk the party line and reestablish the old status quo for reasons of self-preservation and personal gain.
President Trump himself has recently expressed that he intends to continue to be a major influence and force within the Republican Party and there is no future for the likes of Mitch McConnell and the other RINOs.
“The Republican Party can never again be respected or strong with political ‘leaders’ like Sen. Mitch McConnell at its helm,” Trump said in a statement.
Rasmussen Reports recent survey released Thursday, polled 1,000 likely US voters between February 16-17. It showed that a majority of Republican voters believe the party should continue down the path that President Trump set it on.
“As the Republican Party reorganizes itself going forward, should it be more like former President Trump or more like the average GOP member of Congress?” the survey asked.
When party affiliation was not considered, 45 percent said the party should be “more like former president Trump,” while 42 percent said it should be “more like the average GOP member of Congress.” Of course Democrats would want the GOP to be more like the average member of Congress as that only works in their benefit.
However, among Republican voters who were polled, 72 percent said it should be more like Trump, in contrast to 20 percent who said more like the average GOP member of Congress.
Even a majority of voters not affiliated with a party said more like Trump with 44 percent compared to 39 percent who felt the opposite.
Naturally, among Democrat voters, 65 percent believe that the GOP should be “more like the average GOP member of Congress.” We shouldn’t expect anything else. Even they see how the RINOs in Congress kowtow to and appease the Dems.
When those being surveyed were asked to choose between the statements “Donald Trump is still the kind of leader the Republican Party needs,” and “Republicans need to get away from the legacy of Donald Trump,” 73 percent agreed with the first.
RINOs in Congress need to wake up. The GOP is never going back.
