(Rallying Patriots) – Governor Greg Abbot of Texas made waves for making his the first state to fully lift mask mandates and business restrictions.
All the same, it appears that rights are still being seriously violated under the auspices of these authoritarian mandates.
The mask mandate was lifted on March 10, but the very next day, a woman who refused to adhere to the mask requirements at the Galveston Bank of America the very next day was tackled to the ground and arrested for refusing to comply.
The woman believed that since the bank had her money, that she wanted to withdraw, she should be able to do so without wearing a mask and refused to leave the premises.
“Businesses have the right to refuse service even if you’re not wearing a mask,” the officer can be heard explaining to her in the video. “You need to go and get a mask and then take your money out.”
When she protests, he goes on to say, “we’re gonna do this the easy way or the hard way.”
“What are you gonna do, arrest me?” she shoots back.
“Yes, for intruding on premises,” the officer replies.
After they argue a bit further, he also notes, “This is not a public place. This is a private business.”
She later explained in an interview with FOX-26 Houston that she had been there to close her account and that her vehicle was too big to go through the drive-thru.
“I just want to close my account, I’m gonna get my money and then I’ll leave. I can’t got through the drive-thru, I’m pulling the rig.”
“Wow, not wearing a mask people… this is what they do to ya!” she can later be heard yelling in the video.
Infowars notes that over in Austin, meanwhile, they’re actually fighting to keep their mask mandate in place!
